@YMC Back Up Service for Dedicated and Shared Servers,New service takes tedious backup tasks off our customers
Tokyo – February 5, 2007 – Last month, GMO Hosting & Security Group company, @YMC Corporation, launched a backup service that saves customer server data onto an @YMC backup server. To celebrate the new service, for a limited time, we are offering set up fees as low as zero!
For those operating on the Internet, data backup is essential in the event of a malfunction so that data and software on the server can be retrieved in its original condition. However, carrying out periodic backups is both time-consuming and complicated. As blogging gains popularity the demand for backup on a separate backup server, including database backup is increasing. The service has been introduced in response to that customer demand.
Backup Service Outline
@YMC carries out periodic backups of data for the customer. Once a day server data is forwarded to a backup server in the @YMC data center. Multiple generation backups mean that the server environment can be restored to almost exactly its original condition not only after a malfunction but also when data has been erased in error. This service is available both to customers on shared servers (a server occupied by several users) and dedicated servers (a server occupied by only one customer/company).
